![]() 2.Rxg7+ Kh8 3.Rg4+ f6 White must now take the queen which gives Black time to play Bb7, connecting his rooks and thwarting the mate. |

![]() dear friend, my stupid solution and your clever solution are same. Of course after 1. Rxg7+ Kh8 2. Kh8 Rg3+, Rg4+, Rg5+, Rg6+ it's only the way to prevent mate by moving queen to d4. But just like you said, it's a checkmate finally. 3. Qd4 Bxd4# After Kh8, moves of rook in g3 to g6 must be the correct moves. But when I tried, I warned that I made wrong moves. |

![]() I read your post jusy after I replied post of constanteanul. You're right, after rg3+, rg4+, rg5+ or rg6+ mate can be prevented by moving the pawn to f6. And, preventing move of the pawn to f6 is the way to checkmate. Thank you. |

![]() "The stupid solution" seemed to be the solution proposed, not your's. Anyway, it was a mistake, i didn't took into consideration the pawn. |
