It isn't easy to foresee that the bishop will be actually needed at d1 since all the variants deemed to lead for the solution except one of them don't have such a necessity. It is really hard to suppose that this particular variant of the first move is the only one possible in fact - the puzzle, as I believe, is excellent because of that

100% with 123cro

Indeed that pawn mate variant is not easily seen, which deems Bd1 the only possible move. Although it was a 3 move mate I had to use the analyze function heavily for this one. It is indeed an excellent puzzle.
