Tricky...
Nice move and countermove theme and the pin on the black pawn leads one to experiment with extremes..good sac of Hermaj isn't obvious but eventually comes out of sheer desperation when you can find nothing else...overall satisfying..nice use of minimal setting...

At first I didn't understand why the pawn couldn't turn into the Queen - to allow the pawn at g2 be movable. Think the puzzle is good in many respects

Very complete
A really interesting problem, with many themes. My first idea was 1.e4, to allow a black move, but it doesn't work. Removing the Bishop from the a8-f3 diagonal, neither.
The sacrifice of queen on d6 was my third idea.But I was not able to calculate all the line, I did by intuition, so I did not understand the "rook" detail at 3rd move too.
I think the solutions where the promoted pieces must be a rook are eve more rare then the knight ones. And I don't remember any with a Bishop !

And I was doing so well until the underpromotion! Why do they catch me out so often? The quality of puzzles on this site is so high & this is another good one

Underpromotion To Bishop
carlossilva , underpromotion to a bishop is quite unusual but here's one I found on Facebook a while ago..

I feel so stupid.
i thought the pawns were going in the opposite direction. I was sitting here for five minutes trying to figure out why it wasn't checkmate in 1 move. { Even thought you cant make puzzles with checkmate in one}

Cool!
I thought I had it solved when I found the first move, but it was the THIRD move that made the puzzle so tricky!

VERY nice!

Excellent
Under promotion puzzles are usually very satisfying, but this one goes the extra mile with the sacrifice.

@paviland:That's a nice one also. You should add it to the puzzles section.
@carlossilva: See puzzle #1689.

Once I considered the purpose of the e5 pawn, it was clear to me Qd6 must be the first move.
