How can this be condidered easy when my ipad with HIARCS can't begin to put a dent in it?

Easy. Because the human mind can conceive of easy principles while most machines can only calculate.

1. Trap King so as to be able to queen.
2. Bring the King into the fray, and queen.
3. Weave the mating net.

Rather easy, since so many moves are the only moves.

First 17 moves were dead easy...

The last four were a bit trickier.

I still hate this sort of super-long puzzles.

3 Stars Difficulty
2.5 Stars Aesthetics if only because the engines weren't able to solve it even when allowed to run to a depth of 42 ply, which is all that was really needed!

Engines are great... to play. But this is solving problems, and... it's another game.
