why do we need to solve puzzles for a game that a novice could win blindfolded?

I kinda like this one. The setup with the knight and king blocking the white bishop almost tries to trick you into a revealed mate. Once you realize that to do that you need to move 3 pieces (the king, the knight, and the queen to prevent stalemate), you see it doesn't work. Tricky little distraction....sometimes in puzzles there is a lot of noise with a rather simple and obvious solution.
