Another solution?
Following may be another solution
1.Qc2+ then if 1....Rc3, 2.Nd2#
or if 1...Bc3 then again 2.Nd2#

Why Qc2+ does not lead to mate
Black Qxd2 responds to Nd2#

if Bb7 why not kB5 Check ?
Black Kb5 is a discover check but White has a perfect response with its own discover check immediately...Bd5!

Be4
I was convinced this was the correct move. I can't see any response that doesn't lead to mate for white next move?

You 'll be disappointed by the seemingly "useless" black pawn at f2 after f2xBe1.

I meant apart from the useless pawn on f2.

That's just the way it is...no running away from the beauty of a discovering check countering a discovering check to mate...white Bb7 followed by Bb5.

Satisfyingly Complicated
My first thought was Be4 & after that Rb3. Both seem to work perfectly well until you try 1...fxe1=Q! & Black's new queen can block every conceivable attack. It was that snag that gave me the hint to attack the king from the other direction
These are all the main solutions I can see (I may have missed some)...
1.Bb7 Kb5+ ( 1...Rxa3+ 2.Nxa3# ) ( 1...Re2+ 2.Qxe2# ) ( 1...Bxf5 2.Bd5# ) ( 1...Rxe1 2.Bxa6# ) ( 1...fxe1=Q 2.Bxa6# ) ( 1...Rd3 2.Qa4# ) ( 1...Bd4 2.Nxd6# ) 2.Bd5#

Agreed, Paviland
I also looked at 1.Be4 before (b4) I found the solution. This was a beautifully composed problem. The way I solved it was to ask myself why there was a pawn on a6. Turns out, if you remove the pawn on a6, Bb7 does not work, but there's another solution! I'll post it after I create the problem.

Links...
I don't know how to provide links to other puzzles.

Take a look at puzzle # 105998 for the same puzzle without the a6 pawn. It is also a mate in two!

According to the script below, it's just a case of using the notation 'pz='
Let's see if that works..
