There are several lines. Moving Kb4 does not mean that the opponent will play f3. You can play c2 or fxe3.

But if you refresh it over and over again at some point black will move the pawn on c3 to c2.

Please give some moves. In the All moves graph (under Options...) you can see how anything black does ends in mate with precise play

You are correct and I was mistaken. It seems that I was either too tired, or not good enough to solve those two puzzles. My mistake.
