Not again
This must be the oldest puzzle and it is really too worn out; please take this out of use and let it rest for next ten years.

I'm wondering how this position could possibly be reached. Black has two pieces threatening mate in one, how could have white avoided that mate?

Overused puzzle is overused. Also, maybe white just made a check with the knight?

For anyone
This puzzle will be always overused for some players. But it will be new too for some others. We all have had a first time with this thema...

Yes, this puzzle is an old one, but do not deprive the future players from enjoying it. If you see it and you know it, it's not a difficult move for you to 'move on' to something else.

I have done puzzles with the same movements, but I still don't know how it actually ends up that way. Could anyone please show some games where this happens?

Forgive my french.

I know this would be somewhat of a major undertaking, but mightn't it be an idea to have gameknot classify puzzles according to themes rather than (or, preferably, in conjunction with) the "easy" v. "hard" dichotomy?
