why doesn`t g8=Q lead to mate next move?
Surely after g8=Q, black has no way of stopping Bxf6++

I was helped by 2 concepts.
First, any move (except one) by black will result in a mate.
Second, the e6 bishop is vulnerable and must be moved right away.

Then it was just finding the one square it would be out of the way.
