I like...
the similarities between this puzzle and yesterday's puzzle.

It's a nice, simple puzzle utilising en passant and the similar blockading move seen yesterday that phonybenoni described as an "Indian theme".

iberville -

I believe the c1 bishop is there to prevent a four move mate, by moving to d2 check, if white moves p-f6 instead of the en passent at the second move

Nice
When I was 7 or 8 living in NYC I was watching two elderly neighbors (40's) playing and one captured the passing pawn and I said you can't do that and Mr. Weiss promptly said yes I can it is called "humping" and I just humped the pawn and Mr. Bain laughed. So in memory of Mr. Weiss and Mr. Bain I'm going to say that the puzzle today was solved by humping. Several years later at a church function the minister corrected me for saying "I just humped your pawn." no kidding.

Took me a few minutes to twig that ep was the way to go..nice variation and the cross-fire of the bishops allied to the sneak thief is fun..a realy good construct..more please..
