Love it
Just as good as yesterdays, sat there for a while thinking if I don´t get a check then black will check and that will be two moves gone! And considering there is only the one check available I was trying to find a check I couldn´t see!

Simple but very nice once you get the first move correctly.

A bit easier than yesterday's once you consider what happens if you let black's rook capture on b6 with check. Still, quite nice.

Nice
A while back someone pointed out that in a 2 move mate the first move almost never is a check. I wish I could remember to give credit. Using that knowledge I quickly determined that the queen must control b8. The problem solved itself.

I agree with the first comment: as good as yesterday's. A very beautiful puzzle.

Alternative?
What is wrong with the following:

1. Qd5+ Nc6 or Rc6
2. b7#

Alternative
After Rc6, b6 is still pinned to the king and the queen can't take the rook because the knight can take back.

Nice
Qd6+ was my first thought, took me a while to get the correct first move

Quite nice!
Playing with the concepts of deflection or blockade (depending on the move made by black).

This is one of the things I like the most of this type of puzzles (I mean, simple compositions), it's easier to exemplify the basic ideas.

Another gem..
Another minimal two-mover by a master composer..many false leads and blocks...harder than your average 'easy' puzzle...had real fun doing this..many easy puzzles seem to be a crude chore, nothing less...real art this time..more please...

Frankly, I didn't like the puzzle at all. If a puzzle is meant to improve your skill, then it should have moves that are actually relevant to the game. The very first move was against the basic principles of chess. What was the need to sacrifice the queen, when the game could be won without doing so? No offences meant to anyone, these are my personal views.

I thought ...
... that the Queen sac was to get Black's Rook off the 6th rank and allow b7? And if Black chooses not to play RxQ, then it's still mate...

e.g. Qe5, Rd6. Qe8 mate. Or, Qe5, Knight anywhere. Qb8 mate. Or, Qe5, RxP+. NxR mate, and so on. I can't see any move for Black after Qe5 that doesn't allow mate for White next move..?

Don't worry we won't get offended

Feel free anyone to correct my point of view if I'm wrong.

The aim of a chess game it to checkmate the king whatever the means you have at hand.

The tactical shots are generally based on a combination of tactical concepts. Get the most of a position is, using you material and strategical advantage, get your aim the faster you can and with no option for your opponent to avoid the final mate.

Those points are what this kind of puzzles are good for. Of course you can get the mate in other ways but finding the best moves to shorten the path is a good way to improve your level.

The queen sac get the rook off the 6th rank and release the pinning from the pawn (deflection). And if you use the knight for protecting the b8 square you're avoiding the pinning and allowing the mate with the pawn (blockade).

There are more moves in the puzzle but for me those are the main ones. If you can see them here, maybe you would see them in a real game.

Sorry for the long post!

As Marvin2 pointed out the queen sacrifice was required to eliminate the pin of the pawn by the rook. The objective of these puzzles is to mate in a certain number of moves (or less). Sacrificing a piece to create a mate or even improve one's position is usually considered eloquent or cool.
