proof reading
I know that Gameknot is an international community so perhaps I could offer my services as a proof reader (UK English, not US!). I think cavalierknight meant "recent", not "resent" - which mean very different things. Recent means not long ago, while resent means to feel a smouldering dislike for someone or something. Sorry for being pedantic!

Resent...
Yes, it should read recent (in US English also ... and I'm the obsessive type who checked both in the dictionary), but since resent isn't an adjective I didn't mind so much.
...Anyway, I just wanted to say that I thought this was more clever than the typical corner-mate puzzle, and so I enjoyed it more than most.

It could be resent
I mean, it's possible that cavalierknight really, really didn't like the person he was playing against and one of their methods of settling the score was chess. It could be that they have a list of people they don't like around the world and is hunting them down one by one to settle the score over a chessboard.

Puzzles from real games
I like much puzzles that come out of real games like this one or at least such that look like it. In case the chessboard situarion looks artificial I normally don't even start thinking on a solution.

actually a difficult puzzle for me
DAng -what can I say - I feel a bit silly cuz it actually took me 10 minutes to solve this puzzle. within the first minute I played knight e7 for the first move, when that wasn't correct I immediately thought there was some GRANDMASTER MOVE like Queen to g6 !! When that was not correct either and saw that this puzzle had an %82 solve rate, I had to relax and stare thinking to myself "gee, this can't be that difficult with an %82 solve rate" and thought I would see the correct move after about another 60 seconds, BUT NO, it STILL took me a good 9 minutes more ! Well, I missed the first 2 tries, but I think we're allowed 3 misses before our attempt becomes invalid, so glad I took my time after the first 2 misses.

Nice
I have a tendency to look for moves that start with check followed by a series of forced moves. This puzzle didn't fit that norm so I was very pleased with it. Nice job.

Feels a bit clunky when the puzzle position allows the enemy a purely time-wasting move, like black's Qxf3+ in this one.

@elfuego51
You are so right . . . and given the level of passion that chess arouses, it's even a likely scenario
