As an oldtimer, this was one of the first nontrivial mates I learned from Capablanca's book Fundamentals of Chess. The book still seems valuable today.

Minor Piece mate
Any mating pattern using 2 minor pieces, only, can force mate only in the corner. This is key to the tricky (usually 20 - 40) move mating patterns with minor pieces.
