thank you
One of the things that always amaze me is the rating system in chess puzzles. Some people rate any puzzle that they can solve as easy/simple, while others will rate them according to how much they enjoy them. I know the answer, so it's simple to me. However, I did spend a lot of time looking at this position before I could come up with a mate, let alone a mate in two. Finding an answer to a puzzle with a known number of moves can sometimes be easy. Finding it in the game... not so easy.

The rating system means little in reality. What happens is a subjective rate assigned by the individual player. Some puzzles to champions are harder than some puzzles to some and some puzzles to some are harder than puzzles to champions.

When you solve as many puzzles as I have you get to the point where you just click "easy" and go to the next. Mostly because I've realized the rating system is a waste of time. What matters is the percentage of how many solve it. THAT is what matters. But then again, there are puzzles with 60 or 70 or 80 or 90 percent "solving" ratio and I find many of these rather fascinating. So what I do is make a comment on every puzzle I've worked that GOT MY ATTENTION no matter what the solve ratio is or the "rating."

I figure the LEAST I can do is make a supportive comment to a puzzle whether created by the poster or found in resources.
