Just keep checking, don't stop checking, there's gonna be a mate some day. You're gonna make yourself so very happy when you find the moves to play. Keep on checking, keep the bad guy trekking, drive that fellow from square to square. There's not a lot of mates in this old world, but I think you'll find one there.

of course easy to find, but it's quite beautiful and indicative of how nicely and deadly the knight and queen mating combinations can be, even in the middle of the board as was the case here

Easy, I didn't make one mistake. It's obvious that with a Queen, Black can keep on checking if White stops checking!!
