good one
Solved it almost instantly. Then pawn cries out to under promote to a knight. If you miss that though it will be a struggle.

It's always nice to mate against apparently hopeless odds : )

I didn't spot the Pawn promotion immediately but once you see it, it's an easy win.

Nice underpromotion
A nice puzzle which utilizes underpromotion techniques!

I caught the fact that Black's king could not move safety in the current position before I saw that White's pawn could promote at all; but once you have that your looking for some happy check.

Clever
Even in a regular game, were you're not aware there is a mate in 2, the knight promotion comes in handy to fork the king with one queen.

ahhhh....the clichéd underpromotion puzzle...a bit overdone.

Easy
A huge number of checks - courtesy of the pair of Black queens - makes giving check a requirement; but why not have an additional queen at c8 instead of a bishop, and maybe one at a1, a3, a6, a8, b8? As long as useless and pointless queens dot the board...

A little too easy, but I appreciate the effort in composing and posting, thank you urigur.

An under promotion composition seems like it might have a solution of mate in three if it is knight with a red herring distraction of a mate in four with a queen. Also, does any one know of an under promotion to a rook?

Nice puzzle...
I guess I shouldn't be surprised by relatively low solve rates. Once again, the key was how to deal with the escape square. This time, it was on c6. Once you see that 2.Bd5 isn't just check, but mate, the solution is easy.

I gave this 2 stars for difficulty. I still liked it, but expected higher than 63% for a solve rate.

under promotion to a rook is posible with an e pawn where the king can castle with the new rook to create a mating position.the king castles along the file as long as neither piece has moved and it is not moving into or over a "check".

What would be the previous move of the black?
What would be the previous move of the black? The position is not understood.

rafaelzepedab, it appears to be just a whimsical composition of urigur's, so there is no previous move to understand.
