R sac is enough

You might be tempted to sacrifice the WQ but sacrifying the rook is enough.

Rook Sac Enough?

I'm missing the Rook sac. If you mean 1. Rxh7+ etc., I don't see how that mates. The BK can escape to g6 eventually. It seems 1. Qg6 is the only move that forces a quick mate.

@ josh804:Your first move involves WQ and your third move is WR being sacrificed to open the line for Q to reach g8.The idea is just creating Q+B battery.

New players try the puzzles every day and just attempt moves without paying any heed to the success rate or scores; and do not realize what it does to their personal percentages, thus keeping the solve rare lower than it would be with only repeat players!

I know a few in my group here in Colorado who just aimlessly make attempts at the puzzles without any attention to heir scores.

Nice puzzle - 2 stars

The rook SAC looks tempting at first glance, but after a minute, the double mate threat looks good. (Qg6 threatens both Qxh7# and Rxh7#)
