This puzzle is a bit silly - after Kg4, any of Pf4, Kg3, Kh3 are equivalent

I tried to solve it to quickly and also thought it didn't matter what I did after Kg4, but there is a difference. After Kh3, black can go Qd3+ and when you block with a pawn Qe4+ follows. When you play f4 after Kg4, you open up more possibilities for the queen to give checks (e.g. Qd1+).

Also, there are situations in which Kh3 loses to Qf5+!

After 3. Kg4 Qd4+ 4. f4 does not work, because 4...Qd1+ and White keeps checking. There is even a possibility to lose: 5. Kg5?? Qh5#. There is nothing wrong with this puzzle.

The excercise is correct.
The exercise is totally correct.

4. f4 as mentioned above leads to perpetual check
4. Kh3 Qd3+ and now 5. Kh4 Qe4+ 6. Kg3 is forced meaning, that at least white loses several tempos going Kh3 -> this is not a good move unless there are only psychological reasons in blitz-game behind it) both 5. f3 and 5.g3 are losing after simple 5... Qf5+
