Why?

The quickest way to gain tactical edge is simple to take the Queen. What do you gain from adding 3 more move. This does not educate but only confuses me more.

Don´t forget that the black Q is attacked, so taking the Q means actually only exchanching Qeens and black has piece for two pawns, in the solution black wins the Q

Yes, only taking the attacking rook with the knight is pure gain.
