mmm ... difficult exercise.
obvious Kg6 is not a good move because it leads to a draw.

But I had the same question, why not Kg8?!!
I found the answer too late ..... because white has a strong attack on the line 7 and black has to be with a move ahead.

After 1 ... Kg8 white will respond with Qb5 and he will try to put the quin on the 7th rank.
For instance 2 ... Qd1 then 3.Qb7 and black is lost.
