Is 2. Qxf5+ forced?

..looks like it creates more trouble for white than necessary.

Black will play Rg3 anyway eventually, and then I think White is in a much better position.

Perhaps:
1. Qb1 Rxe6 2. Qd1 Qf4 3. Ra4 Rg3+ ...

Or immediately:
1. Qb1 Rxe6 2. Qd1 Rg3+ (or perhaps 2. ... Qh4) 3. Kh1 Qg5

Or which move do you suggest instead for Black after 1. ... Rxe6?

It seems .....
that Black has a strong mating attack and there only two ways for White to defend it:

1- Sacrificing the queen as already in the solution.
2- The queen remains on the first rank.

If the queen leaves the first rank and does not capture Black's rook, the mate will happen sooner.
