What!?

Why would black move the knight instead of accepting a trade? I know it opens the file to the black king, but then at least black wouldn't be 4 points down.

I was thinking 2...h6 but White gets to keep the extra piece.

why not 2. Be2? the way i see it, this move accomplishes the same function that castling does with and white gets an extra piece (i think.) heres my logic,

2. Be2 Ne4
3. Bxe7 Nxc3
4. Bxf8 ...

at that point regardless of what black does he'd be down by 6. Difference with 2. o-o-o being that now the knight cant take d1.
