Why not capture with the black Rook? After that, the only viable move for White as far as I can see is Qxc8+ but after that it's either Kg7 or Bf8; neither allow White to do much damage, or am I missing something?

Looking again, 6. Qc4+ is better since Qxa2 is next.

I think I would try something like this after the first 4 moves in each of your lines.
