I'm missing something

After bishop H6, why doesn't white move knight D4? I think that forces a trade of the queens, with white threatening knight F3.

Assuming you meant 2.Nxd5, it loses the queen

2.Nxd5 Re2+
3.Kxe2 Qxg3
