Yep I agree. The white should try as hard to move it's king to the other side of the board, in my opinion.

I think in order to win, white should move to Ke1 instead. But then black can force eternal check and the game will be a draw.

thx breaker ,

forgot about the the discovered rook move/check that protected my king, the first thing i noticed in the puzzle and forgot in the process of trying to escape check
