I agree

With the exception of the 5th move: 5. ...Qgf2 is mate already.

I've also played Rg7, but Gameknot is right nevertheless. That's what 2800+ engine says:
A) -15.75 (depth 22) 1...Kb8 2.Qxg8+ Qxg8 3.Bf1 fxg2 4.Ba6 f3 5.Bh4 Qd5 6.Bf2 Rxa6 7.Re1 Bf4 etc.
  3.95 (depth 22) 1...Rg7 2.Rxc6+ Kxc6 3.Rc1+ Kb7 4.Bxg7 Qxd4+ 5.Kh1 fxe2 6.Bxh6+ Ka6 7.Qc2 Qxe5 etc.
C) 20.60 (depth 22) 1...Bg7 2.Bxf3 Qxf3 3.gxf3 Kb7 4.Rxc6 Kxc6 5.Bxg7 Kb7 6.Kf2 Ka6 7.Bh6 Rab8 etc.
D) 36.88 (depth 22) 1...Kc8 2.Rxc6+ Qxc6 3.Qxg8+ Kb7 4.Qf7+ Qc7 5.Bxf3+ Kb8 6.Qe8+ Qc8 7.Qxc8+ Kxc8 etc.
So anything except Kb8 will get you in trouble (variant   or very serious trouble (C, D and others).

That bloody smile stands for B+bracket. You always have to preview before posting, my fault
