Why isn't Kh8 played? The way i see it, mate can't be prevented, which is better than winning the queen.

Qc2?
My question is why did we get Qd3 instead of Qc2? Qc2 is still check but doesn't lose the queen. Thus, I have a problem with this puzzle.
