![]() If white plays 3.Bf5+, which I think would be a mistake now, black can interpose the pawn by playing 3...g6 which also attacks the bishop on f5, while the rook on f4 is still attacked by the black knight on h5. So you need to find an alternative continuation here. Of course the game is still won, but it takes longer than 2.Rf8+ which leads to checkmate on next move (utilizing the fact that the rook on e7 pins the g7-pawn against the king on h7). |
