Why is my solution not correct?

1. ... e4 2. Re1 Bf3 and there is no way to stop Qg2# (3. Qxf3 exf3 and next move 4. ... Qg2#)

Nevermind, 3. Bf1 totally stops the mate. Their solution is correct!

this should be the solution

supyall is correct, except the move number is 4, not 3. So your solution, ibid, is incorrect.
