Why 3.Ke7?

Anyone knowa why white played 3.Ke7? Why not 3.Kf7?

If 3.Kf7 then Ra7+ gives the same position as move 1 -- Black is trying to draw.

Yes but

White had obtained the draw, but black's play ends up giving white a win.

I think breakerofwind is right , it was Black 1st trying for the draw not White , whites play makes Black +2 and the favourite
White could of accepted the draw , but tried for the win
