Yes, but
if i moved Rfxf1, would it still work , do we have to complete exactly as the tactic is set up?, I've not noticed this before or am i lucky?

Sure. Just click on a piece and move it. You can do this for any puzzle that has been solved. You can even set up a position and play it against the computer.

I do it all the time. Notice that when you make a move that is not in the solution, the move list changes also. I then copy & paste the new move list when posting.

Ha it does...
I could then drag it - somewhere - for a study , that for me could deffo. work , i like it , i do like to experiment , so to speak, with the positions on the board , i have found that it has helped me during games, especially during games that i would normally think were heading for a draw, or were i was running out of ideas

During a game, you can use the 'analyze' feature to move pieces around, etc. Again, the moves are recorded on the move list. I then copy & paste the moves into the private notes space. Just be careful not to paste them into the Chat space or you'll tell your opponent what you plan on doing, lol.
