In different parts of world, the chess pieces are named differently, even in some parts, the basic rules differ.....
the old men here call this queen a minister(wazeer) , knight is horse(ghora) and bishop is elephant(pheel, hathi) [since maturi is from india, he'd use that names].. the pawn can't move two steps at it's starting position, it has to move one... castling isn't allowed.. and if you capture all opponent's pawns, the game is a draw,,, you have to leave at least one, you however may block it... two queens are not allowed, i.e. if you have a queen, the pawn will advance to some other piece except queen.. and far other differing rules.... the call it DESI SHATRANJ..
this might sound strange but that's the way it is......
