and what if 2.Ke1?
seems to me with two pieces hanging, black is in trouble. Playing 2.Kg2 allowing the rook to drop with check.. seems too convenient

I was asking myself the same question. Just looked over 10 minutes at the board, but i didn't see any continuation for black if 1. Qf4+ - Ke1. Since there is a double mate-threat on g7, you have to keep the king busy. So, any idea for ... Ke1 ?
