Alternative?
I tried 1. ... Rd5 with the intention 2. ... Ne6 (works even after 2. Bb3 or 2. Rd1) and there is no defense against the threats 3. ... Ng7 and 3. ... Rf4.
Am I wrong?

White can delay the mate with sacrifices so that it takes 6 moves instead of 3.
I enjoy these problems and I think they are great training. But this is the one flaw that they have. Quickest isn't always the best. A simple winning line may take an extra move or two but may be easier to calculate. In a game, if you find a forced win, there is no advantage to taking additional time to try to find a shorter way.

Ah, I see. Thank you for your comment. I agree about your point that the very fastest way is not always the most effective one in a real match.
