I checkmated the opponent in two moves but my effort was considered the wrong move. When I tried again it turned out that the move the board wanted me to make was a move that would checkmate in three moves. I considered my move a better play but I was given a fail and lost points. My first move was Knight to F3. At this point, the only way for him to block Checkmate is to move his rook in the way, which he will loose if he does. Otherwise, my next move Rook to f2 will checkmate him.

Almost, but after 1. Nf3 White has Rd5+ and then RxB, which means a longer mate for Black.
