d4 escape
Why can't the queen go to d4 with Nc3 ? And why is this better than c4 ?

positioning
after the queen has moved to d4 then nc6 forces then queen back to f6, then bf6 looks very bad for black. This is only my opinion though, someone else may have a better grasp of it.
