White to move, mate in 26
I was thinking it would be too hard that I won't be able to solve it.. But somehow I've managed to find all the right moves with few mistakes (less than five that is).. Although it still deserves 5 stars (imo)..
i managed to solve it too with few mistakes. but i still don't see the logic of the moves
26 moves... that is a whole match
It looks to me like the logic is that the N dances round the king twice just to capture the B on d2 and the pawn on f4, so that the e3 square becomes available for the rook to give mate.
I got it but had more mistakes than the rest of you. I see part of the logic as practice with the power of the knight but also using a combination with other pieces to ke.ep the knight in control. I liked it.
An amazing composition
Although i am getting a bit tired of all these long puzzles in this section, i must say that this one quite impressed me. There is some sort of repetitive pattern followed, but there is a lot of combinatorial variety at the same time, and it is not one of those "mathematical compositions".
