Easier way to win than you'd think.....
You can actually have checkmate in three moves. When the pawn becomes a queen and the black king has gone down to h7, move the new queen to h6. Tada! Black king cannot capture queen because of white king behind her, and there is nowhere to run!

I can't really follow your explanation. Black's king doesn't move to h7 as it is already there.

If you believe there is another solution, use the "Another Solution..." option on the puzzle page. If you open up the puzzle window, the Options are located to the bottom right of the chess board, above the description of "To solve the puzzle."

Sorry knightshadows but I think you're wrong
There's no move to h6 for the new queen located in g8.

In fact, you can't move the queen out of the g file or the black king will scape and the mate couldn't then be done in 4 moves.
