You can mate in the moves you want. If black cooperates... I wont play chess anymore here, more than five games and still 1200 without losing any game! You must to be premium if you want to play with someone of your level?

mrcelada...
... Istayed on 1200 for something like 10 or 20 games. Then, having played enough to get a real rating, I receved one, and it was considerably north of 1200 by then. Stay with it, and you will get the rating you deserve.

You don't get a rating until you've finished six games. So finish the one you're currently playing and you'll have a rating. There's no point rating someone after one game; it can skew things quite significantly.

Isn't the maximum possible eighteen--nine for each player?

Well...
Puzzles of that sort are interesting, though I call them 'anti-puzzles'. They are still puzzles, but not of positions that could possibly arise from a legal game of chess. Is it theoretically possible for both sides to promote all 9 pawns?

It turns out that contrary to my first thought, it ought indeed to be possible, however contrived. One way is to ensure the pawns are doubled or tripled on different files. You could, for example, bring all the white pawns onto the a, c, f and g files; the Black pawns on the files remaining. This is achieved by capturing pieces.
This position was reached after several legal moves:
w
What happens from here is that all the pawns ignore each other and run home, making way after promotion for the next little fellow in the queue.

But in fact I had it in mind that the maximum number of pawns of a particular colour was nine, leaving open the total number of queens on the board.

It's perfectly possible alright, if quite contrived. Tim Krabbé's website - timkr.home.xs4all.nl - notes the record number of passed pawns in a game as 9:

- Smyslov v Botvinnik, USSR ch, 1941, while the most queens on the board at any one time was 6 -

- Szalanczy v Nguyen, Budapest, 2009

So seemingly contrived positions can actually occur at times.

This is in serious games, of course. I've promoted to nine queens against a low-level computer chess, and in a schools tournament, I've seen a lad promote eight times, sac all his queens and mate with a rook.

ANSWERS
strepsil999. First, nobody could EVER be as smart as you. Ever. That's something you should come to terms with. Second, the answer to your question is very simple.

Answer: By not making the right moves. Seems counter-intuitive, I know, but it's the truth. If you have any doubts, please refer to my previous statement about your unmatched genius.

kirishh. It's possible if White doesn't try to mate. Anyway, forced mate is a lot like rape. White's just not that kind of guy.

Allowing 11 alts vs. telling 58 women they're not welcome. The former is by far the more obvious choice.

You can even loose this game.
You can mate in any moves you want, more than 300 moves if you want... You can even be checkmated.
Just keep black queen in the diagonal capturing white queens until all white queen be captured.

The point of this puzzle...
... is to exercise the imagination, and to study the power of the Queen.

I don't know whether you have seen retrograde analysis puzzles, but a lot of those look just as silly. Yet the deductive thinking required, knowing what the chessmen can do, has been said by strong players to have helped develop their game.

I was thinking that to set up this puzzle you would have to buy 54 chess sets. Or, if you are going to allow inverted rooks to stand in for queens, you can get away with 18 chess sets.
