![]() But really if you want to contribute there are some things you can do. Take a look at the puzzles offered on this page - for some reason they are overlooked: gameknot.com Also, review your own puzzles & repost the ones with alt. solutions. Any alternative solution means that there is a solution that was not intended to be there by the creator of the puzzle. (if it had been intended to be there, then why not add it before posting?) Also if you are aware of all the alternative possibilities you might reconsider that you even want to show that position. About this series of same puzzles I don't know what to think. It seems that there is one person using multiple accounts to upload puzzles, which technically is not allowed by GameKnot. You might complain about it and this particular user will be removed - but what is the gain for the puzzle section? I don't know. There are plenty of others who are posting similar kinds of faulty positions. Essentially the section is a "sandbox mode" for chess positions resulting in mate. Any position can be posted, as long as the creator thinks it adds something worthwhile. And apparently that's the case here... |

![]() Perhaps you're right that they're from someone with multiple accounts, but I think not. I see NO other purpose for the several people that repost the same puzzle dozen's of times other than increasing their puzzle count. They are NOT doing the community a service, and I think it is the reverse, that these repetitions just clutter up the site. While my comment is critical, I consider it "constructive" criticism, designed to help. Perhaps if the community would start taking issue or commenting on these wasteful postings we could improve a great site?! |
