nice
It was the first move I looked at but I didn't follow thru and wound up spending 5 minutes before getting back to it. It's a 2 in my book.

What's wrong with bishop to a5, king takes bishop, Queen to c5? Checkmate?

jsalb, nothing except that if
the king decides not to take but play pawn to c5 where is your checkmate in 2 then?

1.Ba5 c5, and no mate in two. By the way, a puzzle that takes five minutes to solve is worth more than two stars for difficulty. That's supposed to be "easy".

Nice puzzle!
I gave it 3 stars in part for the simple beauty of the puzzle, but 2 stars makes sense too.

Now I see...
The Queen couldn't pass through the pawn at c5!

Solved in under four seconds?
C´mon you´ve got me curious, was it three or two or one and why didnt you write solved in three seconds rather than solved in under 4?

My first thought was Bb4 KxB Qb6#, but then I saw it wasn't forced
