This was a little tougher than most "easy" puzzles (2.5 stars) because of all the possible moves you have to check. For example, it's tempting to look at 1. e8=N+ or 1. Ng4+ (which I did), even though it's more likely the strongest move would be a double check (only way out is a king move), and the one that does the real damage is the one that shields the black rook from defending the Bf8 -- which of course is the solution.

Agreed with theBish
I was disappointed that there were two different ways to win on move two, but otherwise enjoyed this one. It was tougher than the average easy puzzle.

2.5 Stars Difficulty
2.5 Stars Aesthetics. It was attractive, but not great due to the double solution. It was a real game position. Did Muzychuk underpromote in the game, or did Black resign?

1. Ne8+ Kh6
2. exf8=Q+ Kh5
3. Nf6#

Nice puzzle.

I was surprised it didn't list Nf6 mate as option after kh5 scenario.

The comments seem to forget to mention there is also 1. ... Kg8 (which also has the inevitable promotion issues)

Agreed puzzler, ...
But then there would be people who would go back and edit their comment after someone else pointed out their mistake and pretend they never said any such thing and you must be losing your mind to think I'd make such a comment. You blithering idiot. Can't you read? Not that I've *ever* seen that on any other site. No.

So while it's cumbersome to erase an entire comment because of a single typo, it's not the end of the world either.
