It's a nice puzzle for "mate in two," but in a real game, your restraint in not going for that queen was truly commendable. In the tactics section which was essentially as you encountered it it would have been far more difficult.

Bad Computer

Even so... It's still a lame computer... if you take the queen, then it's mate in 3.
1. ... Kc7, 2. Qa5+ Kb8, 3. Bd6#

Hard to think that a machine would miss that. If you aren't playing fast matches against THIS computer then you should beat it EVERY TIME.

Still, good job on seeing the "quicker" mate.

its not if I am not mistaken, 1. ... Kc7, 2. Qa5+ b6, 3. Qa7+ Bb7 no mate in 3

Still a mate in 4 though after bishop moves 4. ... Qb8#
