And they complain again!Or in the hard section, usually "ridiculous problem, not a real position, what's the point of all this." If you don't like the chess problems, go and do something else... |

eugen1943The point of the discussion page? Well, perhaps to discuss chess themes, similar problems, other possibilities, tactical insights, methods for solving, etc. Alternatively, you can have a whinge about the problem in the "Easy" section being too easy. Well, that's really clever. So glad our ancestors all fought for our rights to free speech so we can sit around complaining about people who actually make an effort like the puzzle composers. Cheers all round... |

![]() I would say that this puzzle is easy. However I have been playing chess for years (not that well though). I do notice that the puzzle was not easy for the 23% who did not solve it correctly. Considering that the people from novice to seasoned pro will view the TWO puzzles it seems logical that what ever standard of puzzle is chosen the majority could say it is the wrong level for them. I would just also add that the puzzles are FREE and therefor we should all appreciate that effort has been made by individuals to compose and/or post puzzles taking up their own time for others enjoyment. It would be interesting to know just for curiosity sake, how many people who complain about too easy puzzles have actually taken the time to compose a more suitable puzzle of their own? |

Is it possible to give a puzzle 0 stars? |

eltrickyfezzik, Yes, it was easy, but still it deserves at least 1 star to help stalemate avoidance. |
