large number of moves
It seems the more moves the more easy is the solution in respect of thinking about

Agreed, 123
This was a rather pretty smothered mate, but not terribly difficult. I was surprised only 34% solved this one.

Pretty
Relatively straightforward puzzle but definitely requires a little thought--nice mate.

Bonus question: if you take away the white knight on f6, why would black be winning?

A smothered mate with a knight is the best!
Thanks. Great puzzle from an actual game.

With the f6 knight missing, 1...Ng3+ 2. Kh2 Ne2 (2...Nf1+?! 3. Kh1 Qg3? 4. Bf4 exf4 5. Qa1+ Qg7 6. Qxf1) 3. Ng4 Nxg1 4. Kxg1 h5 followed by 5...hxg4, winning the rook (for a pawn or something like that).
