Good puzzle amr14--but tell us it is hard rather than easy! I know you know the truth.

Hey 9422m,

I deleted the puzzle but I can't do another one because my rating is below 1400.

I'l try again later...

Thanks

That rating thing is the problem I first noticed. How do you think I can post 50 or 30 puzzles a day here? Because my rank is above 1800 and I will make d a m n s u r e I don't play a game with someone here I suspect will win me because he uses a computer!

My rating is 1873 now and I'm keeping it right there for awhile. The reason is the 1873 Colt Single Action Army Frontier Six Shooter is my FAVORITE dynamic responsive defensive handgun.

And it was invented in 1873!

I've had 3 cups of Earl Grey this morning and I feel fine!

It gets so damn annoying if your grade is lower than 1400.

my grade has only been higher than 1400 once because my starting grade was 1454.

Thanks,

Pick and choose your game opponents carefully. Make sure they lose at least 1/3 or their posted recorded games (even Grandmasters lose). If they only have "draws" and wins don't play them. They are using computers to keep a perfect score.

Next, see how many games they play "at once" or "currently." If they are playing 20 or 10 games at once (or more) then they are beyond your ability no matter what your rating.

Next, see how they open or respond in the games when they are white or black and take a peek at a pattern they might have. Some are doing things that don't look like any method at all they open other than e4 or d4 and then you must suspect. Or they respond to e4 or d4 with anything other than Ruy or Sicilian or French or Caro or Alekhine or King Indian or Nimzo Attack (all what the champions used and still use to date) because they have a trick up their sleeve that eventually digresses into the aforementioned.

Beware of an avatar that shows an attractive innocent girl that could be a BABE TO LOVE in Russia or someplace. It is probably a guy trying to use your third leg to snare you into his computer.

Next, look at the age, gender, country (supposed) and ask yourself if you can trust playing that individual. Perhaps the country or nation that they might list is under fire or terrorist or religiously so mixed up they might get nuked soon by an Empire like the Romans were.

Wish those Romans were still around today to fight fire with fire but this is just a chess game so after some online investigation with your potential opponent you make the decision to win or lose (or draw) and then you have to eat the consequences.

Nuff said!

Author
J.A. Ros, 1890

It's only "easy" when you know how to "read" this type of position. Invest a couple of minutes and all will become clear

It is appropriate and decent to list the author. I am assuming amr14 happened to create it himself so he gets the credit.

Not J. A. Ros, 1890
