Description:	Just a little something I "threw together". Note that White is threatening mate in one. Black can play defense with 1...Nf5, seemingly winning the White queen, but 2. Nh4! counters that nicely. What is Black's best play?

It just unfolds

on its own. I can't see how this would take anytime at all: constant check is mandatory, so how can you miss the solution?

One of those puzzles

that I messed around for ages in analysis, esp. move 2. But once I gave that up and did it in 'solve' mode, it plays itself as you say.

I was in a similar situation. This may be elementary to the experts here but to the casual players, like me, this looks like real world stuff and a good exercise.

Re: description

If after 1...Nf5, 2.Nh4 does not save White. Surely 2.Qf5 is winning, as if (say) NxN, them Q goes -> C1 ->F1 -> G1 -> F2 -> F4 and mate.

Unrelated to mate in 6 though.

27% solve rate

This was much more difficult as a mate in two than as a mate in 6. I agree with JamesPrincex.

I give this ~3 stars for difficulty. If it were just the last two moves, I'd give it ~3 stars for beauty. But the first 4 moves are too mundane. Only 2 stars.

First four moves were obvious... move five took some thinking (and my quota of wrong moves)
