Sick puzzle
Dope. See, this is what I'm talking about!

If you're going to have a smothered mate puzzle at least make it interesting! Respect to O. Deiler for crafting an original piece.

Loved it. Though it must be said part of why I liked it so much was because it was rather easy for me, nowhere near as hard as these ones usually are. But thats probably just because I am fammilier with the patterns.

The puzzle is easy only because the pattern is very familiar. Every player who has studied typical mates knows this one, but I think it's a good variation.

Good one.

O.Dieler's puzzle
Phillidor's idea is nearly as old as that of the Spanish priest or maybe a little less. I'm not sure because i'm making this comment off the cuff. It's like a note stuck. He was, besides being unofficial world champion, a great violinist as well.

Wonderful puzzle. Two very simple, familiar themes put together to make a tough mate.
