If you think you have found another solution, try "Options -> Another solution" and you will see what is wrong.

@man_utd1992: 1.Qd4+ Nc4 and there is no mate in 2;
@surnight: 1.Qc2 Nc4 and there is no mate in 2.

The mate in the main line is difficult to visualize.

Nice one but also easy. Thought in the line of not allowing K to c5

What is the best cennario/country for a newbie start?
I am sorry tdmedets but I analize this game and when you move to 1.Qd4+ Kb3 is forced and 2. Qc3 mate, period

Brilliant puzzle. Love white's starting position. Very clever. Hard, but not 4.5 stars hard cause I was able to solve it and I can't solve 4.5 star puzzles! The king can't be allowed to escape through c5, and there are only a few moves that block this route, so you can grind it out through trial and error.

Nice interplay with the black knights, as Black's main tries (1...Kxa5 and 1...Nxa5) cause one knight or the other to cut off a dark escape square, while White's dark bishop controls the other one. Pretty intuitive (if not at first) that White must cut off the c5 square, so 1. Ra5 soon comes to mind. Definitely not a 5 (or 4.5) star problem, but I gave it 4.

@luizmessias
actually the knight can move to Nc4 because it blocks the queen's line of attack. The knight then guards all the mating squares.
