Kinda silly to HAVE to get a rook... I mean who would get a rook over a queen? Kinda stupid

Queen's are nice...

Getting a Queen in this case would end in a stalemate as Black would not have any legal moves available to him/her.

While this is less cluttered, it is also VERY easy to solve. By removing the clutter, you have removed some of the difficulty. The original puzzle has only a 56% solve rate in part because there are so many possibilities.
